Unleashing the Power of Storytelling Director. Writer. Producer.

Marcus Liversedge is a multi-award-winning director working across drama, premium documentary, comedy, music, and reality. With a distinguished career in long-form television, he is also a highly successful director of commercials and music promos, with an emphasis on bold, stylish, cinematic storytelling.

He has delivered for Netflix, Apple, Amazon, CBS, Paramount+, NBC, MTV, the History Channel, Discovery, and all the UK terrestrial channels in single, multi-camera, and studio formats. Marcus’s hallmark is his ability to captivate film and television audiences through the power of authentic storytelling. His combination of experience and the development of a unique creative vision with actors and technical teams sets him apart.

He recently directed Episode 1 of the new Apple TV+ series “Carpool Karaoke,” starring Dua Lipa, Chappell, and Lady Gaga. Further recent work includes the scripted comedy series “The Blondey Way” (YouTube/Adidas), an upcoming BBC travelogue show with Alison Hammond, and “An Evening With Dua Lipa” (ITV/CBS/Paramount+), where he directed all the documentary elements and interviews. He also directed the comedy scenes for the 2x Emmy-nominated “Home for Christmas with Hannah Waddingham” for Apple TV+, working with Ted Lasso actors Jason Sudeikis, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Nick Mohammed.

Directing premium talent in a documentary setting is a signature of Marcus’s work, and he has collaborated with some of the biggest stars in film, music, and comedy. He was one of the first directors to work with Big Zuu (Director of Series 1 and the BAFTA-winning Series 2 “Big Zuu Big Eats”), saw Jack Whitehall become a dad (“Fatherhood with My Father” for Netflix), and got Harry Hill and Lorraine Kelly to brush up on their history (“Great British Obsessions” for History). Earlier in his career, he sent Henry Cavill and Adrien Brody off on an extreme driving adventure (“Driven to Extremes” for Discovery). He is also well known for his work with stars in the reality space and directed early series of the BAFTA-winning TOWIE for ITV.

Stunts, pranks, and hidden cameras are another signature of Marcus’s work. For “The Brits 2022,” he devised and directed a complex stunt that included host Mo Gilligan and 50 cyclists. One of his most viewed films to date, “Adele at the BBC,” which featured a group of lookalike Adeles being pranked by the real Adele, has nearly 84 million views on YouTube.
